Each site's security policy fixes where the page may connect, and the "Network" chip in every tool's top bar lists each connection. What does leave the browser: - With a Pass only: a licence check with orihako.com, or with the shop (Lemon Squeezy) for a key typed into the PDF site (the key, never file data). - Anonymous usage counts to orihako.com: tool names and rough counts in fixed categories, never file names or contents; not sent when the browser asks not to be tracked. - Page views, counted by Cloudflare Web Analytics without cookies (not on Chat), and on PDF also by Umami. - AI models, downloaded once after the person agrees and kept in the browser: from the tool's own site (Stream, Image), from Hugging Face (Chat, and Find's optional meaning search), or by Chrome itself for its built-in AI (translation, summaries, picture descriptions). - Send only: a six-digit code pairs two browsers through a small relay that passes connection-setup messages (which include the devices' network addresses), and a public STUN server helps them find each other. The file itself goes straight between the two browsers, encrypted, and is stored nowhere. After the first visit, PDF, Photo, Stream, Image, Data and Find work with the network off, and Translate too once its language pack is in. MCP (Model Context Protocol) is an open standard, so the design is not tied to one AI company or model. - Ready-made today: Orihako Chat calls the other eight tools (it opens each site's connection page, and nothing runs until the person approves the call or the job's plan), and a Claude Desktop extension runs Orihako PDF's tools on the computer. - Also available: a local helper for Stream that scripts can call on the same computer, and Image and Data declare their tools to the browser's own agent where the browser supports it (WebMCP, still experimental in Chrome). - Only the PDF desktop agent checks the Pass: one tool on one file is free there; batches, chains and recipes need Pro or Business, not the 7-day pass. - There is no ChatGPT app or plugin, and no cloud API. #### Privacy when an AI assistant is involved The tools always run on the person's computer. When a cloud assistant (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Copilot and the like) drives them, the files are still processed locally, but whatever text the assistant reads – a tool's result, text taken from a file – goes to that assistant's provider. La politique de sécurité de chaque site fixe où la page peut se connecter, et le bouton « Réseau » de la barre de chaque outil liste chaque connexion. Ce qui sort du navigateur : - Avec un Pass seulement : une vérification de licence auprès d’orihako.com, ou de la boutique (Lemon Squeezy) pour une clé saisie sur le site PDF (la clé, jamais le contenu d’un fichier). - Des comptages d’usage anonymes vers orihako.com : noms d’outils et nombres approximatifs par catégories fixes, jamais de noms ni de contenus de fichiers ; rien n’est envoyé si le navigateur demande à ne pas être suivi. - Les pages vues, comptées par Cloudflare Web Analytics sans cookies (pas sur Chat), et aussi par Umami sur PDF. - Les modèles d’IA, téléchargés une fois après l’accord de la personne et gardés dans le navigateur : depuis le site de l’outil (Stream, Image), depuis Hugging Face (Chat, et la recherche par le sens, facultative, de Recherche), ou par Chrome lui-même pour son IA intégrée (traduction, résumés, descriptions d’images). - Envoi seulement : un code à six chiffres relie deux navigateurs par un petit relais qui transmet les messages de mise en relation (ils contiennent les adresses réseau des appareils), et un serveur STUN public les aide à se trouver. Le fichier lui-même va directement d’un navigateur à l’autre, chiffré, et n’est stocké nulle part. Après la première visite, PDF, Photo, Stream, Image, Data et Recherche fonctionnent sans réseau, et Traduction aussi une fois son pack de langue installé.
