Mask a customer table, then have an AI analyse it
A customer list has names, phones and emails: you cannot hand it to an AI. Mask only the names and contacts and let the AI read the regions and amounts.
Steps
- A CSV goes to Data (Mask a file), masked by column. A small table can be pasted here as text.
- Mask names and contacts; keep region, trade and amounts, or round them.
- Paste the masked table into the AI and ask as below.
- Paste the answer in step 3 and Put back. The same customer always has the same placeholder, so the AI's counts hold.
- Finish with Make the table an Excel file or Open the table in Data.
How to ask the AI (example)
From this customer table, make a table of sales trends by region and the trades that are growing. Keep the 【】 placeholders as they are.
Finishing
The answer's table becomes an Excel table (numbers as numbers).
Good to know
One row per person: the same person is the same placeholder every time, so the AI can still count "the same customer".
- Masking and the key stay on this PC. What reaches the outside AI is only what you copy or attach.
- Something may be missed. Check the coloured parts before you send.
- Company and people's names are masked from your list (with “Find more names of people and companies”, names not in it are added as suggestions). Phones, emails, addresses and ID numbers are found by their shape.
