Get a table out of a PDF into Excel

The table in a PDF becomes an Excel file (.xlsx) and a CSV.

Rows and columns are worked out from where the words sit, so compare the result with the PDF.

It is made inside this browser; the file is never uploaded to a server.

With my own fileTry a sample

Your file is never uploaded to a server: the tool works in this browser.

How it goes

  1. 1Drop or choose a PDF with text (or try a sample)
  2. 2Pick the pages with the table, or leave it blank for all
  3. 3Save the .xlsx for Excel, or the .csv for other spreadsheets

Good to know

  • The table is an estimate: merged cells, wrapped text and tables without clear gaps can shift.
  • A scanned PDF holds no text: run it through text recognition (OCR) first.
  • Up to 200 pages from the start per run.
